As a result of the franchise business model, 11,412 local businesses provide 115,900 jobs to the Louisiana economy and account for $9.8 billion of the state's economic output, and $3.8 billion of private sector payroll. Nationally, nearly 733,000 franchise businesses provide 7.6 million jobs, $674.3 billion of economic output and $404.6 billion of GDP, which is 2.5% of U.S GDP.*
